Day 9

This morning we paid the hotel to drive us to Shimo-Suwa, the city behind the Wada mountain. I really wanted to climb it but also didn’t want to risk a bad injury of my Achilles so we skipped the climb and went straight to a clinic to have my foot checked.

The doctor was a bit spongy with his response but basically it seemed like it’s not a big deal since my tendons don’t hurt when he pressed or hit them with this hammer tool.
It’s an inflammation, and my right Achilles is swollen so I got some anti-inflammatory medicine and patches.

Today we spent the time resting and almost not walking in the lake town Suwa.
At the moment I’m laying on the hotel bed with ice on my foot or with my legs up the wall to decrease swelling.

Tomorrow we’ll see how things look and either continue slowly or take more rest / skip on by train.
