Kimono Rock Tokyo

Yesterday I went to Kimono Rock Tokyo, a 3 day pop up store event (10th 11th and 12th of June 2016) in Harajuku featuring cool modern kimono brands.

着物ロック東京へ行ってきました☆
原宿である「スペースさくら」三日間の着物イベント（２０１６年６月１０〜１２日）でした。

The kimono brand Rumi Rock hosts this fun get together sometimes and always invites fun and popular modern kimono brands.

This season Modern Antenna, Rumi Rock, iroca, yuminique, high calorie otome and more joined.

ルミロックはいつも素晴らしいモダン着物の人気ブランドを集め、カッコイイ着物イベントを見せます。

今回もモダンアンテナ、ルミロック、イロカ、ハイカロリイオトメとその他は素敵な商品を紹介しました。

Let’s start in chronological order. First my outfit for the day:
A yellow check hitoe kimono paired with my new Rumi Rock faux-leather obi.
Lace tabi socks (best for summer) and casual vintage geta. The paper crane brooch is from Under the shade of a bonsai tree and the kanzashi is handmade by myself.

さて、まずはアンジーの着物コーデw
黄色かる〜い単衣をRumi Rockの新作、黒い合皮の半幅帯と合わせた。
足では夏にピッタリのレース足袋と二枚歯下駄。折り紙ブローチはオーストラリアのShade of a bonsai、簪は私の手作りアイテムです。

Upon arrival the gallery space was already quite packed with a lot of customers getting dressed in kimono and browsing through many small hand made design goods.

イベントスペースに到着した時、皆さんはもう色々アイテムを見たり、着物を試着したり、楽しんでました。

After acclimating I checked out irocas fun kimonos and picked one coordinate to be dressed in. A green jellyfish kimono and a silver shimmer obi belt. Both were of exquisite material and the jellyfish look so realistic – they might pop right out of there.

Ishikawa-san designs all his items with a one of a kind vibrant/neon colour scheme. I love it.

irocaさんのお着物はずっと気に入りでしたが、着るチャンスはまだなかったので、やっと試着できました。
クラゲの着物は凄い。3Dみたいなリアル感！生地もすごく柔らかくて素敵でした。
石川さんのデザインはすべてヴァイブラントでツボです！（笑）

Since the summer is approaching Modern Antenna and also Rumi Rock had a large focus on Yukata and light kimonos for the hot season.

夏に向けて、モダンアンテナもルミロックも新作の浴衣はたくさんの種類がありました。

マチコセントウの下駄は可愛い！手作りのディテールはたくさん。
（紫もちょうど黄色い着物に会ってたー♡）

Of course this event doesn’t only please ladies – men can find unique pieces too.
Shizukuya has some amazing ideas for mens wear which struck me every time.

This time I really loved the cloak, these cross shaped geta and… a leather Hakama!!
OMG!!! (Times I wish to be a man!)

もちろん、着物ロックは女性向けだけではなく、男性用の着物アイテムもあります。
和次元滴やさんのデザインはいつもとても素晴らしい！つまらない男性着物は一切ないです。

今回の気に入りはレース風のクロークや、クロス形の下駄と・・何！！本革の袴？？うあぁ！カッコイイ！
（たまには男性になりたいですね。）

Of course this event is a great chance to catch up with a lot of kimono friends.
And even Choko came – although she told me she would not! Happy surprise.

着物ロックで友達もいっぱい行きますので、今回もたくさん笑っていい時間をすごしました。
チョコさんも！行く予定はなかったのに、居た！ゆーこさんも大好きだし。
