☆ Japanese vintage Haori (Kimono jacket) –
black with deer bagworm cocoon art ☆
Quite rare item here. In Japan there are not many craft people who make pictures using the cocoon of bagworm. All hand made.
Look at the group of deer jumping. Look at the close ups. Each piece of cocoon dyed and cut carefully and sewn one by one. (Sounds a bit creepy but in fact the artwork almost feels like a soft thin cork material.) It is a really amazing item – and deer pattern are rare too!
The inside artwork of bamboo paint is also wonderful to look at.
This pretty Japanese vintage haori is a “kimono jacket” – to be worn over your kimono or simply coordinated with your normal clothes.
It is never worn and flawless.
