☆ Japanese vintage kimono – Berry purple irotomesode with peacock and plum blossoms ☆
This wonderful and quite rare Japanese vintage kimono made of silk in a lovely berry purple tone is a collectors item. The bottom of the kimono features hand painted peacocks and flowers. The textile itself has the beautiful pattern looking like a water mark.
This kimono is called “irotomesode” and for more formal occasions – however its absolutely gorgeous for whenever you feel like wearing it!
The inside is lined in white and the same berry tone silk.
This is an antique kimono but in a great condition considering its age.
Ever so slight sunburn on back sleeves and kamon (family crest) area. Black spot center back (not visible when worn) and a few brown stains inside lining and designs but these are barely visible (Please check close-ups).
The design is too gorgeous and I once styled it and got a lot of compliments on the kimono.
